Chiclayo é uma cidade do norte do Peru que serve de ponto de partida para visitar-se diversos sítios arqueológicos da região, como Huaca Rajada de Sipán e as pirâmides de Túcume.

Chiclayo is a city in northern Peru that is a departure point to visit several archeological sites around the region, such as Huaca Rajada in Sipán and the pyramids of Túcume.

Próximo a Chiclayo, a cidade de Lambayeque possui dois importantes museus: o das tumbas reais de Sipán e o Museo Nacional de Arqueología y Etnografía Heinrich Bruning. Este museu exibe uma vasta coleção de tesouros arqueológicos obtidos por Heinrich Brüning, arqueólogo peruano nascido na Alemanha, que dedicou sua vida ao estudo das várias civilizações que habitaram esta região.
Next to Chiclayo, the city of Lambayeque hosts two importants museums: the royal tombs of Sipán and the Museo Nacional de Arqueología y Etnografía Heinrich Bruning. This museum displays a vast collection of archeological treasures gathered by Heinrich Brüning, a German-born Peruvian archaeologist who dedicated his life to the study of the many civilizations that inhabited this area.

Trujillo - Plaza de Armas

Trujillo, há 500km ao norte de Lima, é considerada o berço da independência do Peru. É uma agradável cidade com uma pitoresca arquitetura colonial. Sua principal praça, a Plaza Mayor, é cercada de belas construções do século XVII, incluindo a catedral e a prefeitura. A cidade foi arrasada por um terremoto em 1619 e portanto tudo o que se vê é posterior a esta data.
Trujillo, 500km north of Lima, is considered the cradle of the independence of Peru. It is a pleasant town with a picturesque colonial architecture. Its main square, Plaza Mayor, is surrounded by beautiful 17th century buildings, including the cathedral and the city hall. The city was destroyed by an earthquake in 1619 and so all we see is from after it.

A catedral tem interior em estilos barroco e rococó e foi recentemente restaurada. Essa cor amarela de sua fachada é muito comum em Trujillo.

The cathedral interior is in Baroque and Rococo styles and was recently restored. This yellow color of the façade is very common in Trujillo.

O edifício da Municipalidad, ou prefeitura, de Trujillo foi construído no início do século XX. Por ocasião do terremoto de 1970, o terceiro andar ruiu e não foi reconstruído.
The building of Trujillo’s Municipalidad, or city hall, was built in the early 20th century. At an earthquake in 1970, the third floor collapsed and was not rebuilt.

O que Trujillo tem de mais especial são suas mansões com janelas em ferro fundido. Muitas delas hoje em dia pertencem a bancos e outras instituições que cuidam de sua preservação.
Trujillo’s most unique aspect are its mansions with cast-iron windows. Many of them today belong to banks and other institutions that take care of their preservation.

Na Casa del Mayorazgo de Facalá foi feita a primeira bandeira do Peru, desenhada pelo General San Martín. Simon Bolívar viveu na Casa Urquiaga y Calonge.
The first flag of Peru, designed by General San Martín, was made at Casa del Mayorazgo de Facalá. Simon Bolívar lived at Casa Urquiaga y Calonge.

O Palacio Iturreguí, de 1842, é considerado uma das mansões mais elegantes da América do Sul e hoje é um clube. A Casa de la Emancipación foi onde se planejou a independência de Trujillo. Hoje pertence ao Banco Continental, que tem aqui um centro cultural.
The Palacio Iturreguí, from 1842, is considered one of the most elegant mansions in South America and is now a club. The Casa de la Emancipación is where the independence of Trujillo was planned. Today it belongs to Banco Continental, which has a cultural center here.

Trujillo - Casa Ganoza Chopitea

A Casa Ganoza Chopitea, também chamada da Casa de los Leones (Casa dos Leões), foi a que mais gostei. Ela tem detalhes mouriscos, barrocos e rococó. Lá funciona um simpático bistrô, onde tive um delicioso jantar.

The Casa Ganoza Chopitea, also called Casa de los Leones (House of the Lions), was the one I liked most. It has moorish, baroque and rococo details. There is a friendly bistro there, where I had a delicious dinner.

O Museu de Arqueologia e História da Universidade Nacional de Trujillo mostra um pouco da histórica da cidade desde as civilizações pré-colombianas, através de dioramas, cerâmicas, tecidos e etc.
The Museum of Archaeology and History of the National University of Trujillo shows a little of the historic city from the pre-Columbian civilizations through dioramas, pottery, textiles and so on.

A Coleção Casinelli é uma galeria privada que exibe peças cerâmicas de diversas culturas peruanas. Existe a intenção de criar um museu para melhor exibir deste valioso material. Há muita controvérsia sobre esta coleção, já que seu dono José Casinelli comprou essas peças dos “huaqueros” – os saqueadores de sítios arqueológicos. Em sua defesa, existe o argumento que este tesouro nacional teria sido levado para fora do país se ele não as tivesse comprado.

The Casinelli Collection is a private gallery that displays ceramic pieces of various Peruvian cultures. There are plans to create a museum for better displaying this valuable material. There is much controversy about this collection, as its owner José Casinelli bought these pieces from the “huaqueros” – the looters of archaeological sites. In his defense, there is the argument that this national treasure would have been taken out of the country if he had not purchased them.

Capital da Eslovênia, Ljubljana é uma pequena cidade de menos de 300 mil habitantes situada às margens do rio Ljubljanica. Na arquitetura impera o barroco, especialmente em suas igrejas.
Capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana is a small city of less than 300,000 inhabitants situated by the Ljubljanica river. In architecture, Baroque prevails, especially in its churches.

O Centro Histórico tem como ponto focal a Praça Peresen, cujo nome homenageia um importante poeta esloveno, e a Ponte Tripla, obra do arquiteto local Joze Plecnik.
The Historical Center has its focal point Peresen Square, named after an importante Slovenian poet, and the Triple Bridge, designed by local architect Joze Plecnik.

A Ponte dos Dragões é decorada com estátuas desse ser mítico que é o símbolo da cidade. Ela foi construída para comemorar 40 anos de governo do Imperador Franz Josef I, quando a Eslovênia fazia parte do Império Austro-Húngaro, daí a inscrição “1848-1888″. Sua construção foi terminada em 1901, em estilo Secessionista, similar ao Art Nouveau.

Dragon Bridge is decorated with statues of this mythical being that is the symbol of the city. It was built to celebrate 40 years of government of Emperor Franz Josef I, when Slovenia was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, hence the inscription “1848-1888″. Its construction was completed in 1901, in Secessionist style, similar to Art Nouveau.

O castelo de Ljubljana foi construídos entre os séculos XV e XVII. Hoje é uma atração turística, pela vista da cidade e por suas galerias de arte. Um filme em 3D mostra a história da cidade.

Ljubljana Castle was built between the 15th and 17th centuries. Today is a tourist attraction, due to the view of the city and its art galleries. A 3D film shows the history of the city.

Seus edifícios barrocos são o ponto alto da arquitetura da cidade. Mas me apaixonei pelas janelas – vocês não fazem idéia de quantas eu fotografei!
The baroque buildings are the highlight of the city’s arquitecture. But I fell in love with the windows – you have no idea how many photographed!

A catedral estava fechada, mas parece ser linda por dentro. Nos fundos ficam a torre e um relógio de sol.

The cathedral was closed, but it seems to be forgeous inside. In the back there is a tower and a sundial.

Split é uma cidade na Croácia com uma característica muito pitoresca: seu centro histórico se desenvolveu sobre as estruturas do antigo palácio do imperador Diocleciano, construído no século IV. Os edifícios atuais, na sua maioria da Idade Média e do Renascimento, aproveitavam elementos originais do palácio, como as colunas e nichos. A catedral foi construída sobre o mausoléu de Diocleciano, em formato octogonal.

Split is a city in Croatia with a very pitouresque characteristic: its historical center developed over the structures of an ancient palace of Roman emperor Diocletian, built in the 4th century. The present buldings, most of them from the Middle Ages and Renaissance, used original elements of the palace, such as columns and niches. The cathedral was built over Diocletian’s mausoleum, in an octogonal shape.

O Batistério de São João fica no antigo Templo de Júpiter. O teto é lindamente decorado.

Por acaso, havia numa praça um show de danças folclóricas, apresentado por um grupo de jovens que se revezavam em trajes diversos.

Incidentally, there was a show of folk dances in a square, presented by a group of young people who took turns in various costumes.
