Grand Teton National Park

bar

Located in the state of Wyoming, the Tetons are the youngest in the Rocky Mountains. Humans have been visiting the area for over 10000 years, though settlement is very recent, because of the severe winters.
While in one side jagged mountains mark the landscape, on the other there is a flat formed by sediments from erosion and the ancient seabed that existed before.
Grand Teton's peak is 4200m (13770ft) above the sea level. Twelve peaks rise above 3600m (12000ft). There are twelve glaciers on the range.
