Victoria
| Victoria is the capital of British Columbia. Founded in 1893, is considered the most British city in America. The Empress Hotel was opened in 1908 and its impressive façade is a famous landmark. |

Next to the hotel, Miniature World displays, as the name already says, miniature scenes, many of them animated. |
| Victoria is in Vancouver Island, a 2h trip by ferry from the mainland. We spent a lot of time learning the way to the ferry and waiting on a long queue, so in the end we had little time there. The Butchart Gardens is a big attraction near Victoria, with its beautiful and well kept gardens occupying 50 acres. I was amazed to see so many flowers in autumn. |
