My trip to the Caribbean
A travel report

In 1996 I went to the Caribbean and had a wonderful time there. As friends - online and offline - ask me to tell about it, I thought it would be a good idea to create this page.

My trip lasted from November 15 to December 5, 1996, and I went to Turks & Caicos, British Virgin Islands and U.S. Virgin Islands. This was my first time in the Caribbean, though going there was an old plan. I traveled alone, which can be quite boring sometimes, but in such situations I try to meet people there with whom to spend some time together. This was quite easy in Turks & Caicos, as I was staying at a Club Med, but not so easy in the Virgin Islands. There I had colourful fishes as my travel companions, while snorkeling in the clear and warm waters of the Caribbean Sea.

This report is based on my travel diary, from which I took the quotes you are going to see throughout the pages. The pictures are not very good and were taken with Kodak's disposable underwater cameras - I wish I could have some of my slides scanned so you would see some wonderful images!

I would suggest some reggae as the background music while reading my report. So turn on your CD player and start reading!
