Em maio tivemos aqui no Rio a 3ª etapa da temporada de 2010 do Red Bull Air Race. Como no dia da corrida o tempo ficou ruim, a prova foi cancelada e os resultados da sessão de qualificação da véspera, que eu fotografei, valeram para a pontuação do campeonato. Na foto acima, o vencedor da etapa brasileira, o austríaco Hannes Arch. Nas fotos abaixo, o britânico Nigel Lamb faz uma curva tendo ao fundo o Pão de Açúcar e o norte-americano Michael Goulian faz uma manobra no avião patrocinado pela PETROBRAS.
In May we hosted here in Rio the 3rd round of the 2010 season of the Red Bull Air Race. As the weather conditions were bad on the day of the race, the event was cancelled and the qualifying session, which I had photographed the day before, set the results for the championship. On the photo above, you can see the winner of the Brazilian round, Austrian pilot Hannes Arch. In the photos below, Briton Nigel Lamb takes a curve with the Sugar Loaf in the background and American Michael Goulian maneuvers the plane sponsored by PETROBRAS.
