Usando o telescópio Spitzer, astrônomos conseguiram registrar uma jovem estrela, vista na imagem ao lado como um ponto muito brilhante de cor esverdeada, no alto à esquerda. Identificada como IRAS 13481-6124, ela tem 20 vezes a massa do nosso Sol e um diâmetro cinco vezes maior que ele. Using the Spitzer telescope, astronomers were able to capture a young star, seen at the image at left as a greenish bright dot at upper left. Named IRAS 13481-6124, it has 20 times the mass of our Sun and five times its diameter. It is still seen with circled by a ring of dust and it is estimated to be 60,000 years old.
