Este bichinho estranho é um verme marinho chamado Swima bombiviridis que habita a profundeza do mar. Um grupo de pesquisadores liderados pela bióloga Karen Osborn, do Scripps Institution of Oceanography, na Califórnia, EUA, recentemente descobriu algumas espécies de vermes que dispõem de pequenas "bombas" verdes bioluminescentes (observe onde tem a seta na foto), que são lançadas quando elas se encontram em perigo, a fim de distrair os predadores - e depois ainda nadam para trás! This weird creature is a marine worm called Swima bombiviridis that inhabits the deep sea. A group of scientists led by biologist Karen Osborn, of Scripps Institution of Oceanography, in California, USA, recently discovered some species of worms that have small bioluminescent green "bombs" (observe the arrow in the photo) that are launched when they feel in danger, so they can distract their predators - and they even swim backwards after the launch!
