Há 40 anos, em dezembro de 1968, durante a missão Apollo 8 da NASA, os astronautas Frank Borman, James Lovell e William Anders foram os primeiros homens a ver a Terra por inteiro no espaço, na primeira missão tripulada à Lua. Em uma das dez vezes em que obitaram a Lua, Borman fotografou a Terra como se fosse o sol nascendo. Logo depois Anders a fotografou a cores, criando a imagem que se tornou um dos ícones do século XX. Forty years ago, in December 1968, during NASA's Apollo 8 mission, astronauts Frank Borman, James Lovell and William Anders were the first men to see the whole Earth from space, in the first manned mission to the Moon. In one of the ten times they orbited Moon, Borman photographed Earth as if it was a rising sun.
