A Catedral Metropolitana da Sé é a principal igreja da cidade de São Paulo. Projetada pelo arquiteto Maximilian Emil Hehl, ela foi construída em estilo gótico a partir de 1913 e só foi inaugurada em 1954, no aniversário dos 400 anos da cidade. Com 46m de largura, 110m de comprimento e torres de 92m de altura, ela é uma das cinco maiores igrejas góticas do mundo. No local onde hoje se encontra a catedral, foi erigida em 1591 a primeira igreja de São Paulo. Recentemente reformada, a Catedral da Sé é um importante ponto turístico da maior cidade do Brasil.
The Metropolitan Cathedral of the See is São Paulo's most important church. Designed by the architect Maximilian Emil Hehl, it was built in Gothic style from 1913 and was inaugurated only in 1954, during the 4th centennial of the city. With a width of 46m, a length of 110m and 92m-high towers, it is one of the five largest Gothic churches in the world. In the site where the cathedral is located, the first church of São Paulo was built in 1591. Recently restored, the Cathedral of the See is an important tourist attraction of Brazil's largest city.
